Embarking on a Great Adventure
Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert

On my flight to Amsterdam a few days ago, I saw in the airplane the movie “Eat, Pray, Love” with Julia Roberts based on Elizabeth Gilbert’s life journey and book with the same name.

Liz Gilbert (J. Roberts) accomplished everything she wanted in life, from a successful career, a nice house, a good husband and supporting friends. But… she was not happy. She started questioning what was it that she really wanted, as she was not feeling that she “belonged” to the life she had created.

She then understood she was in a crossroads where she had to choose where she wanted to go and who she wanted to be. Liz shared with her good friend Delia she had to change feeling like she had no pulse, no appetite for life. She realized she had always been in relationships since she was a teenager and she now needed time to be with her own self and find out what was it that she most desired.

Willing to take risks, Liz decided to step out of her comfort zone, get divorced and embark into a great journey of re-discovering herself and life’s pleasures through traveling.

Even though her friends tried to convince her to stay, Liz was determined to listen to her inner call without being influenced by the opinion of others.

Her first destination was Italy, where she made new friends, nourished her senses through great food and started enjoying the little things in life (“Eat”). She then continued to India to experience life in an Ashram, learning about the power of prayer, meditation and self-forgiveness (“Pray”). And she ended up in Bali, putting into practice everything she learned and finding a new meaning to a romantic relationship (“Love”).

While having dinner with her friends in Rome, they were each trying to find words that described themselves and the different cities they were from. Other than being a “writer”, Liz was not able to find the word that represented her.

As her teacher taught her in Bali, she could finally connect with life through her heart, not her head. Using his words, “in order to be happy you must always know where you are. Every moment. Right here is perfect balance. Right at meeting of Heaven and Earth. Not too much God, not too much selfish, otherwise, life too crazy. You lose balance, you lose power.”

“If you are brave enough to leave behind everything familiar and comforting (which can be anything from your house to your bitter old resentments) and set out on a truth-seeking journey (either externally or internally), and if you are truly willing to regard everything that happens to you on that journey as a clue, and if you accept everyone you meet along the way as a teacher, and if you are prepared – most of all – to face (and forgive) some very difficult realities about yourself… then truth will not be withheld from you.”
Elizabeth Gilbert

White Castle of Refinement
May 26 to July 16, 2015

The Wavespell of the Red Skywalker initiates the second castle of this Tzolkin cycle, the White Castle of Refinement. We have 52 days (from May 26 to July 16, 2015) to prioritize, refine and organize what we started during the Red Castle of Initiation. You can click here or on the left image to see the Harmonic Module with the current Gregorian dates.

At the end of Eat, Pray, Love, Liz could finally find her word.

What’s your word?

Happy Adventure!

In Lak’esh means “I am another yourself!”, a Mayan greeting that recognizes the Divine in each living Being. It’s a message of Unity that reminds us that, when we give, we are also receiving. In this way, the Mayan honored and respected each other, reinforcing the belief that we are all interconnected: what we do to others and to our environment will also affect ourselves in the end…

Munay means both ‘Love’ and ‘Beauty’ in Quechua, the language of the Incas. Munay, translated as ‘To love’, is one of the three principles of the Andean way.
