Rituals & Ceremonies

As you continue getting in tune with the Tzolkin energies and acknowledge the power of experiencing the cycles consciously, you will find great value in creating more rituals in your life. A ritual is any activity you do when you add to it a conscious intent in ways that are symbolic and meaningful to you.

Each Archetype of the Tzolkin has many layers that relate to different types of rituals. As an example for a Yellow Star day, you can prepare a meal in more creative ways by making a little ritual around which ingredients you will use and how you will serve it to make it more colorful, tasty and beautiful!

On special occasions, as for the start of a new Tzolkin cycle, you can also create a beautiful ceremony to celebrate a special time for new beginnings. You may get inspired and invite friends for a potluck, music, share experiences from the cycle that just ended, set your intentions for the new cycle or do something creative together.

Relating to other cycles, and honoring Mother Earth and our own natural rhythms, I love hosting ceremonies to celebrate the Seasons (Equinoxes and Solstices) and the Moon cycles, among others. Despacho ceremonies in the Andean tradition are also very sacred and empowering offerings of gratitude. While I have been hosting ceremonies in person where I live and during my travels, it is my intention in the future to also create online opportunities to share these special events with others. Make sure to subscribe to MayanKin to get the information and invitations when they happen.
