Yellow Self-Existing Warrior
Hi! I am Patricia, an Argentinean artisan. Would you like to know how I do my work? I use Silver 925 plates with different thicknesses. I mark and cut parts of the drawing I want to make, deciding what goes on the top layer and what stays in bas-relief. In this way, each piece becomes more interesting and better expresses the idea of the design to be presented.
I weld each part in its respective place and, after cleaning the acid to take off the rust, I polish them. With gravers (steel tools fabricated by me), I mark the details and textures. Afterwards, I use emery cloth to remove unwanted lines and marks.
In order to create a greater contrast, I apply sulphur liquid obtaining a shadow effect. Finally, I polish it to give it shine and remove the patina from the unwanted parts.
The production of each piece is totally handcrafted, which is the reason why, although they may look similar, they are never the same. Each artisan also gives to the process part of the experiences he or she is going through in the moment of creation. The idea is that you find your pendant and that it also finds you wherever you are in the world.
