The Sound of Music 50th Anniversary
Climb Every Mountain 

My recent flight from Houston to Buenos Aires was filled with joy, smiles and tears! After a couple of decades, I saw again The Sound of Music (1965) directed by Robert Wise and starring Julie Andrews (Maria) and Christopher Plummer (Captain von Trapp). Adapted from a true story, the movie won five Oscars and it celebrates this year its 50th anniversary. What a beautiful and inspiring musical film!

Maria was studying to become a nun in a convent in Salzburg, Austria in late 1930’s, but she was not very successful due to her enthusiastic free spirit and difficulty in following rules.
