Super Blue Blood Moon – What an Experience!

by Mariela Maya

Hello everyone,

What an amazing gift Mama Killa, Grandmother Moon, gave us yesterday!

We left the house at 5am and drove to Airport Mesa in Sedona to enjoy this special Total Lunar Eclipse. The shadow of the eclipse slowly started covering the moon and the totality began just before 6am. After half an hour approximately, at the peak of the eclipse, it felt as if we were looking at the most spectacular painting. It was such an amazing experience to see the moon changing colors from yellowish to orangey, and from reddish to red. It was truly beautiful and it certainly felt super powerful!

I did this little collage to share a few photos with you. The last one at the bottom was at night, a little bit over 12 hours after the eclipse!

If you haven’t seen my previous message at the bottom of this post, this particular Full Moon was called Super Blue Blood Moon based on three events that happened simultaneously:

Blue Moon: Second Full Moon in January 2018 (the previous one was on 1/1/18).

Supermoon: when the moon is closer to the Earth appearing larger and brighter.

Blood Moon: Total Lunar Eclipse, when the moon is in the Earth’s shadow getting a reddish appearance.

What a perfect day for Red Rhythmic Skywalker with an artful adventure in the Wavespell of the Yellow Star! : -)

In Lak’esh means “I am another yourself!”, a Mayan greeting that recognizes the Divine in each living Being. It’s a message of Unity that reminds us that, when we give, we are also receiving. In this way, the Mayan honored and respected each other, reinforcing the belief that we are all interconnected: what we do to others and to our environment will also affect ourselves in the end…

Munay means both ‘Love’ and ‘Beauty’ in Quechua, the language of the Incas. Munay, translated as ‘To love’, is one of the three principles of the Andean way.
